Chinese Coffee Club, formerly known as the Angel is a non-profit organization with a mission to encourage Chinese Americans to share resources and support among the community by hosting free Coffee Night Talks every week benefiting 300-500 online audiences each session, empowers community members to promote positive social and economic changes for the AAPI community by providing high quality leadership programs for youth and career training programs for working professionals, and engages community members to engage in various social and community service activities to promote unity with other community based organizations.

The Issue:
Asian American represent 27% of professionals in the U.S., but only half that among executives. Asian American women hold just 1% of board seats in the Fortune 500. Research shows that Asian American women are disproportionately held back from leadership roles. Asian American women working full time, year round are typically paid only 84 cents for every dollar paid to their white, non-Hispanic male counterparts. Besides unequal pay, Asian American women also have the highest rates of workplace discrimination in the U.S. Asian American women face biases more than twice as compared to men. It is crucial for companies, especially those powerful Fortune 500, to provide a safe and equal working environment for all employees regardless of their gender or race in order to retain their talents, diversify the board, promote positive social impact, and maintain sustainable development of the company.
