Indian Health Camp is a non-profit organization to provide health awareness, chronic diseases screening and prevention via diagnostic services and other medical testing for uninsured and underinsured individuals in the Community via heath fair activities in New Jersey. The organization is incorporated exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes particularly to enhance the quality of life for individuals who do not have medical insurance, who are underinsured or cannot afford adequate medical screening, early detection and intervention.

The Issue:
The minority community of South Asians who are reluctant to get early screening due to language barrier, resources and accessibility. Due to this reason, morbidity and mortality are at a higher level in this ethnic group. Proper information on screening, diet, exercise, medication adherence and other issues are prevalent in this group and must be addressed.
The Solution:
To provide Health Screening for early detection and disease prevention of medical abnormalities including but not limited to chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, cancer, eye disorders such as glaucoma and diabetes retinopathy. The health fair activities include blood tests, EKG, physical, dental and mental health screening and cancer screening and educations services.
