The Issue:

The pandemic has a disproportionately negative impact on the AAPI community. Discrimination comes from perception and perception comes from the lack of authentic representation in the media and advertisement, stemming from a lack of relevant data. Now it’s more important than ever to have AAPI voices heard.

The Solution:

Sparkle Change is a consumer research community for AAPIs to voice their opinions through participation in surveys and other types of market research activities. Currently, there is no sample source for AAPI participants for market research studies which make primary market research on AAPI consumers very costly and challenging (if not infeasible). The Sparkle Change research community will enable more cost-effective and efficient research on AAPI consumers. Having more research studies and insights on AAPIs available will empower Asian American advertising agencies and media to make their business case to corporate markers and advertisers who will, in turn, spur further investment in Asian American research, marketing and DEI which will depict a more accurate representation of AAPI in advertisement and media across the U.S.
